Painted in the Chinoiserie taste with female figures serving and drinking tea

NOTES BY CLEO M. AND G. RYLAND SCOTT, JR IN THE LATE 1950’S

Honey p. 176 says, "Among the most characteristic of all.  Worcester inventions were the so-called Japan Patterns." Plat 43 B shows a mug similar to our tea pot.  This pattern is known as the “Long Elizer”, probably as a result of the elongated type of chinoiseries used.  This tea pot also has the rare "W" mark in blue underglaze.
